Hi all! First of all congratulation for the assembly and the paint work very well executed. Under the historical point of view I have a few doubts. I know that Italeri published on the instructions a profile of the AB 40 used in North Africa, but as far as I know none of the ones with the twin Breda MG was used in that operations theatre. There were very few of these vehicles delivered in such configuration to the Regio Esercito because before the mass production started the Army changed its original order asking only for vehicles armed with the 20mm Breda. Four or five AB40 as the ones depicted in the article were delivered to the Scuola di Cavalleria in Pinerolo (Cavalry Training) and seven to the Genio Ferroviario (Railway Engineers) to patrol the railways in Italy and the Balcans. I know for sure that none of the Scuola di Cavalleria ones left that unit before the lost of NA. All the rest of the vehicles were, as previuosly said, manufactured with the other turret and the 20mm Breda. During 1941 the only AB sent to NA belonged at the beginning to the Plotone Sperimentale (Experimental Platoon) and then to the III Gruppo Corazzato "Nizza" (3rd Armoured Squadron Group "NIzza" - both belonging to the 1st Cavalry Regiment Nizza) and none of them adopted the camo scheme shown on the model nor had the twin 8mm Breda. The camo scheme is in my view more likely for a vehichle used in the Balcans. I know that most of the people identifies as an AB 40 the one with the twin 8mm Breda and the low profile turret and as an AB 41 the one with the 20mm Breda, but the most part of the AB produced were AB 40 with the taller turret equipped with the 20mm Breda. Ciao Fabio
