Wow, now there's a vivid picture. While it's not quite what I had envisioned when I mentioned diorama materials, that would certainly get peoples attention. As far as 1/24 scale military figures to go along with something like Tasca's latest release at present there isn't much to choose from. That's why I've developed so many 1/24 scale accessories: weapons, grenades, helmets, canteens etc. etc. My intention has been to offer a whole lot of figure sets and so I've developed a set of cast, almost fully articulating 1/24 scale mannequins that should speed the process of bringing figures to market. So hopefully in the near future we will see more figures becoming available and possibly other companies joining in and offering more in this scale. With this latest release from Tasca they may well have helped themselves by boosting a small but growing area of the market. And thats no joke. Jim Large Scale Armory

Why not go 1/24?? I'm really glad to see more in this scale. Someone on another site said something similar. BUt you know, there are other 1/25 kits that are (or have been) on the market including the very nice Tamiya 1/25 Tiger I (I believe this was reissued recently? ...if not, it's always available on ebay!). The T34/85 and Su-100 also from Tamiya (resissued by ToyStar(?)). Academy has the Panther D, Panther A, and a Jagdpanther. Plus there are 2 Kubelwagens (ETO & Afrika Korps version) and a Jeep from Hasegawa, AND a jeep from Italeri. I hope this opens it up 'casue I would like to see MORE in 1/24, 1/25. ...like Motorcycles (with and without sidecars) Anti-tank guns (Pak-37, Pak-47, etc) ...and how'bout some American Tanks like a Sherman?

I couldn't agree more. It would be great to see some really top notch companies like Alpine explore some figures and details in this scale. This larger scale certainly offers a real potential for detail that I hope other companies might take advantage of. Also, I'm not really up on the construction of German armor but it seems to me that this kit may well offer the potential for quite a few variants and conversions. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few AM conversions spring up following the introduction of this kit as all the really hard stuff is likely to have been done already. While they're at it hey may as well go all the way and add an interior !I think that this change of direction will do the hobby no harm,after all we have aircraft in 1/72,1/48,1/32 and 1/24....now if only Dragogawamiya would make a 190 in 1/16 ! 1/24 is a good compromise,especially if the tank is not bigger than a Panzer III! I consider this a plus for the industry...Many modellers build 1/72,1/48,1/35 and 1/32 scale armor and aircraft. Why not 1/24th scale?. I have all different scales on my shelves. I build what appeals to me...not confined to any scale. I applaud this move by Tasca. Jeff
