It is not often that we get to have a WWI-era softskin kit, moreso one coming from a model aircraft manufacturer. Available from LukGraph is its model of this innovative and tough vehicle that proved its worth over the rough and muddy roads of The Great War.
Regarded as one of the first successful four-wheel drive vehicles, the Jeffery Quad, as it was first called, was manufactured by the Thomas B. Jeffery Company of Wisconsin. Based on a 1.5t chassis, it had a Buda 312cu-in 4-cylinder gasoline engine, 4-speed transmission, as well as 4-wheel steering. The Quad was used extensively during World War I not only by the United States, but also Russia, France and Britain. Charles Nash bought the production rights in 1916, thus the name change. It is estimated that over 40,000 units were produced between 1913 and 1928.

Nash-Quad Artillery Truck (35-01) is offered as a full resin kit in 1/35 scale. The kit contains over 100 parts to build a complete engine and chassis, photo-etched details, decals, for a Polish version, and a color manual.

For modelers in 1/48 scale, LukGraph released two Nash Quad variants in 2016 and 2017.

I was getting all excited until I came to "...full resin kit..." which effectively puts it out of my price range. Ah well.
