Officially released last month, Hobby Boss shares additional information on the kit as well as photos of the kit contents.
The Vickers Medium Tank Mk II was a British armored fighting vehicle developed during the inter-war years. It evolved into a number of variants, the Mk II** being one. It is similar to the Mk II*, except for the additional wireless set installed in an armored container at the back of its turret. Forty four examples of this type were built.

Vickers Medium Tank Mk II** (83881). The kit features a multi-slide molded upper hull and turret, photo-etched parts, individual track links, and a decal sheet that provides two finishing options. As built the models dimensions are 154mm (L) by 79mm (W).

Background information on the vehicle sourced from Wikipedia.

I like this style of news item. Short and to the point. One paragraph about what the thing was. Sprue photo's included (not too many), decals, there are etched parts too. Oh, and the catalogue number is given too.

Looking forward to this final version from HB. I will be trying to make the asbestos panels for the desert version.

I like the models in my stash but I like this more :-) So great to be getting these early Brit tanks!

Couldn't agree more Nick! I think the Matilda MKI is one of the last of the early British tanks not Kitted yet. Although the Covenanter tank could make the list, and would please a lot of people if I'm not mistaken.

I'd drool over both a Matilda MkI AND a Covenanter. Despite it's awful reliability the Covenanter makes me think of a greyhound, or racing car.

Really love these weird early armour kits. the interwar years were so frenzied in developing tactics and -admittedly- weird armour applied in this search for battlefield supremacy. Beats paper panzers any day of the week and twice on Sundays!
