This brand new series from Casemate UK offers entertaining guides to military history topics. Five new titles are available:

Tanks by Oscar E. Gilbert, Romain Cansiere. From the slow and clumsy Mark IV, through the terrifying Tiger and nimble Sherman Firefly to the Challenger 2, this book covers the development of tanks, and how they have been used in warfare through the two world wars and beyond.

Big Guns by Angus Konstam. This book covers the development and use of artillery over the centuries to its central role in modern warfare.

Tommies by John Sadler, Rosie Serdiville. British soldiers have been known as Tommies for centuries, but the name is particularly associated with the British soldier in World War I. This book explores the development of the ‘Tommy', and his experience of war.

Sharpshooters by Gary Yee. There is perennial interest in snipers, and this book covers the evolution of sharpshooters and their development into modern snipers

Fighter Aces by John Sadler, Rosie Serdiville. An accessible history of flying aces, from the first aces in 1915 to the high-powered aerial dogfights of WWII and beyond.

The series will grow in September with the addition of Greek Warriors, Gladiators, Knights and Vikings.
