Coming soon from Miniart is another Soviet tank kit packed with interior details.
The T-60 was a light tank developed as replacement to the T-38 amphibious tank. Armed with a 20mm main gun, more than 6,200 units were produced from 1941 to 1942. T-60s were captured by the Wehrmacht and pressed into service as gun tractor and munitions carriers.

Miniartís T-60 Early Series, Soviet Light Tank (35215) contains 482 parts in plastic and photo-etched components. Kit highlights:

  • Highly detailed interior turret
  • Fully detailed driver's and engine compartments
  • Gaz-202 engine accurately represented
  • Full ammunition
  • All hatches can be posed open or closed
  • Individual track links included
  • Decal sheets for 12 variants
  • Full-colour instruction
Background information on the vehicle sourced from Tanks-Encyclopedia.com and Wikipedia.

Wow. First, now I want this model. Second: they had the engine in the crew compartment? It must have been a pretty bad place to be in...

I was thinking the same thing .... already small, then the engine there had to be hell, hot, stink and noise..ok in Russian winter maybe it was not so bad the engine heat but still...
MAY 20, 2017 - 09:55 AM
Well, there's also the Russian summer. It's quite hot... plus imagine being thrown around in a tank where a scolding hot engine shares the space with you.
