Dragon continues rolling out Israeli armoured vehicle subjects in its 1/35 scale plastic kit range, with the latest being the M60 w/ERA.
After previously releasing a Magach 3 tank fitted with explosive reactive armour (ERA) (Item No. 3578), Dragon was hugely encouraged by consumer response to that subject. Now the stunning-looking M60 w/ERA is also available, featuring Blazer add-on ERA.

The arrangement of ERA modules is actually different from that on the Magach 3. Nevertheless, each ERA module fits onto the turret and hull easily and with precision.

This M60 includes characteristic features such as an Urdan cupola, a thermal sleeve on the 105mm M68 main gun and machine guns mounted on the turret.

Additionally, there’s a generous selection of photo-etched parts for delicate elements such as tool brackets and tow cable brackets, plus the tank uses one-piece tracks made from DS for added convenience.

The 105mm main gun’s weatherproof mantlet cover is also made from DS to ensure maximum realism.
Agreed, those are the new turret parts for the Magach 7C which is based on the round turret M60. Unfortunately the hull is based on the very old Tamiya M60A1 kit.
AH But Daniel Son... I have 15 other M60 variant kits in my stash to mix and match parts from. And I also cast my own Parts. We as modellers have never had a Slick M60 turret in plastic to purchase. There are only (2) resin over priced abominations I can think of

I made my own IDF M60 Blazer ages ago using the Tamiya M60A1, M48 and detail parts from the Italeri M47 and a Lo Models M48A5 conversion set. I believe the Esci M60A1 series was better than the Tamiya, but none were around at the time.

It's funny you mention the Lo Models conv. I have the same kit. IMHO, I think the Esci, then Italeri, or Academy M60 series are the better choice.

So what's the verdict' Is this a good kit to buy or it's better to stay away from it?

Stay away. Unless you like "what if" projects and don't care much for accuracy.

Gents; With the comments and reviews thus far, along with pics. i agree there appears to be a definite issue with the Urdan coupula and the barrel. My 2 cents Todd

I am currently building this kit in the form of the M60 w/era.No 3581 I have reshaped the front of the hull and now am moving the idler mounts forward 4mm as dragon got this wrong also. So, as well as having to buy a new Barrel, I now need to buy new tracks because the kit tracks will no longer fit. Next I need to move the return rollers I believe? So, I have glued together two pieces so far and still havent finished modifying them!! I wish I'd waited for the AFV IDF M60 now... This Dragon mess will probably end up in the bin. You did a great job here Dragon, and yes I hope you are reading this.. This kit is a joke at the retail price asked, indeed most Dragon kits have comical retail prices, especially when compared to quality kits such as Takom and Meng. I am also currently building a Miniart Tiran 4 which is I believe pretty accurate, (Other than the IDF didnt use it in the kits layout, but it will make a good SLA Tiran) so I'm led to believe. That kit costs less than the retail price of most of Dragons latest releases!! So, after buying this M60 mess I can state here that I will never spend another penny on a Dragon kit again!! Rant over.
