A new StuG is coming from Bronco, which is in fact two as the box will allow to build either the 7.5cm StuK 37/L24 or 7.5cm StuK40/L48
During World War II, Germany developed the assault gun StuG III as infantry fire support, including the C/D variant. As usual, damaged tanks were sent back for repairing whenever possible to compensate the losses for German Panzer Units.

Some of these repaired Ausf C / D types were upgraded, receiving a new longer 7.5cm L/48 gun and the Saukopf mantlet that was used also for the Sturmgeschutz III Ausf G last production. This type participated in the famous battles of the Bulge and Hungary.

The Bronco kit can be built as a regular Ausf. C/D with the short L/24 gun, or the upgraded L/48, with different tracks for each one.

I'd like to get one of these for the option of either build, and I haven't tried a Bronco Stug yet. I like what they are doing with the earlier kits.

I've always liked Stugs, and the idea of either building an early-war stubby or a later updated L/48 is useful. I really like the newly-released Stug III D North Africa version for the same basic reasons, ie: they're stugs!

Brilliant as the Brits would say.
