We introduce another product range of products from VMS – technical fluids.
Cleaners Pro range comprises ready-made and concentrated airbrush/brush/tool cleaning fluids and an innovative paint remover.
VMS airbrush cleaning fluids come in four variants:
  • Airbrush Cleaner Pro SOLUTION AC 200 ml for acrylics which is a ready-made airbrush cleaner but strong enough to be further thinned with water in 1:1 ratio to produce twice (400 ml) the cleaning fluid.
  • Airbrush Cleaner Pro CONCENTRATE AC 200 ml for acrylics which comes with an extra formulation bottle and can be used to produce up to 1000 ml of cleaning fluid using plain tap water.
  • Airbrush Cleaner Pro SOLUTION EN 200 ml for enamels, which is a ready-made airbrush cleaner but strong enough to be further thinned with technical grade white spirit in 1:1 ratio to produce twice (400 ml) the cleaning fluid.
  • Airbrush Cleaner Pro CONCENTRATE EN 200 ml for enamels which comes with an extra formulation bottle and can be used to produce up to 1000 ml of cleaning fluid using technical grade white spirit.

VMS cleaners are low odour, slow evaporating fluids which are much more comfortable to work with as it takes longer for them to form fumes in your work place. The cleaners do not contain weak volatile agents such as acetone or IPA, or industrial solvents such as toluene or xylene, are rich in active ingredients and have high solvency power. Cleaners cope with most paint brands on the market.

The range also contains a new kind of acrylic paint remover – VMS Clean Slate in 200 ml bottle. What makes this new remover unique is its ability to quickly remove any acrylic coat without inflicting any damage to the polystyrene. Remover attacks paint coats in a couple of minutes but the parts can be soaked for days without colour change and cracking, this includes clear parts. Remover is reusable!

According to the manufacturer, one can dip and soak smaller parts for instance separate read wheels, figures, in a container filled with remover. In case of bigger parts like an entire model one needs to pour the remover over it, wait for reaction to happen and then start removing the peeling paint with a brush. Model should be put in a tray or similar dish even a simple plate will do. This makes sure that the remover is collected and doesn't drip all over your workspace. Collected remover can be readily reused, one can also filter it using a strainer and save for later. Once some paint is gone one can rinse the model with tap water to better see which model areas still require attention and then reapply the remover again. One needs to repeat this procedure (apply remover/rinse) several times until satisfied with the result. Hope this helps. In any case you can contact them also through e-mail at [email protected] and surely they will clarify any doubt.
