Next up from Hobby Boss is this little modern French missile launching vehicle. Wallets are going to be taking a beating this summer. . .
The Panhard VBL is a wheeled 4x4 all-terrain vehicle offered in various configurations. It was designed to combine the agility of the Peugeot VLTT liaison vehicle with adequate protection against small arms fire, artillery fragments, mines and NBC weapons. The VBL is fully amphibious and can swim at 5.4 km/h; it is also air transportable by C-130, C-160 and A400M.
The VBL was developed during the 1980s and entered operational service in France in 1990. It has a fuel consumption of 16 litres per 100 km.
VBL MILAN Anti-tank medium range (up to 2000 metres) combat. Uses one MILAN missile fire unit and six missiles, with a MIRA Thermal camera.

This kit is indeed probably coming under the Hobby Boss label not from the horn player. But it's all one big Chinese industrial family.

It looks like we have a second choice for the Panhard VBL as this kit appears different from the one offered by Tigers Model... At least hatches on the front bonnet are open on this one... any Peugeot diesel engine and/or ZF automatic transmission provided in the kit ? also see Gino review for tiger model quite good kit : LINK Mtbk

Glad to see this little vehicle hit the shelves. Would love t osee the ref picture for the boxart as it displays some mistakes. The exhaust extension is only fitted for river crossing and the firing post is never on the roof in the travel mode. BTW I do know this specific vehicle, I posted a walkaround of it on my site years ago. The different colors of the numerals on the front plate are correct but are less visible on the rear one. And the front tires are not fitted the same direction. Olivier

Hatches are open but no engine is provided. It's same rubbish kit as their previous release...not much to do with the VBL unfortunatly...
