Takom has confirmed they are working on a 1/35 Konigstiger, and shows a couple of sprue shots.
Photos show a nice detail and confirm also that it will come with interior.

Considering that these sprues are ready, it should not be long until we see it released.

So far, no one's mentioned ZVEZDA's 1/35 Tiger I and II kits- Are THEY any good? Just curious... I'll stick with DRAGON's older kits; the ones provided with "Magic Tracks"...
I was under the impression that the Zvezda Tiger IIs are reboxed Dragon kits. Their Tiger I was reviewed on Tiger1.info
Didn't know that, regarding ZVEZDA's Tigers- Do they include "Magic Tracks", or do we get vinyl ones? PS- Even though I'm a very dedicated US/Allied fan, I DO buy and build WWII German stuff, along with ALL of the other combatants' stuff, (and more modern stuff) just to show a fair contrast in my collections- My first love is 1/48 Aircraft...
They have individual track links on sprues.

I spoke with a rep from Takom yesterday at Squadron's Eaglequest. The King Tiger definitely has a full interior. It is to go on sale next month. As for the person asking (facetiously?) if Meng will also announce one, apparently they have. It was immediately after all the research material on the King Tiger had been received by Takom. Seems Takom had recently hired an ex-Meng employee... The Takom rep also said some South African armor was in the works, by both Takom and Trumpeter. (Not Dragon not like I originally had in this post.) Wouldn't say which exact vehicles, though.

So far, no one's mentioned ZVEZDA's 1/35 Tiger I and II kits- Are THEY any good? Just curious... I'll stick with DRAGON's older kits; the ones provided with "Magic Tracks"... As far as some earlier rebuttals to my rant go,
The Zvezda King Tiger is the original Dragon 2004 mold, with the old-school link-to-link track, molded on a sprue, rather than the Magic Tracks. The tooling isn't bad, but Dragon has replaced and refined their own molds over the years. You'd have to very look closely, but yes, the wheels in the current Dragon King Tiger and Jagdtiger boxings have sharper bolt detail. The old kit isn't bad, but you'll need to source your own photoetch for the engine screens and whatnot. Zvezda's Tiger I is all their own, and hasn't received rave reviews. Apart from indifferent accuracy, buyers report it also has significant sink marks, at least in some kits on the shelves. The Academy King Tiger (late production) is the same as the Eduard kit, and they differ only in some accessories and decal options.

Thanks for the new picture Hisham. Everyone take a step back. A new kit is a good thing regardless. I see your points and they all can make a good argument. I want new and different kits to...but let's respect others opinions and try not to sound condescending when others post. Also think about this...if everything we asked for was produced. We never be able to build it all. Just look at your stashes and tell me I'm wrong

Actually, the Eduard kit is an overpriced $75 re-box of Academy 13229.
