The fourth news item from Black Dog looks at some 1/35th scale backpacks. This sort of item has become very popular in recent times due to the area and nature of modern conflict.
Some of these backpacks and camel packs look familiar to me from previous releases, but I am sure they will still prove a popular. I know from looking at previous releases from Black Dog of this type that they can get some very good detail into their mouldings.

Looks good! Hopefully it could lead to some new 1/35 civilian model and figure kit ideas in the future to complement these civilian backpacks.

Hmmm...everything you need for an "untended, suspicious-looking bag".

The only issue I have with the product is the question that jumped out at me when I saw the picture -- "Why are they all so drab?" You do an image search on Google and -- while you do get a fair number of drab returns -- selecting one of the 'refine search buttons like Jansport turns the returns into a riot of color. I guess when you have your painters doing military figures and gear for so long it makes it hard for them to step back from uniforms and issue gear into the variety of styles and colors that civilian gear shows these days.
