Italeri has a new version of the M1120 HEMTT, with new moulds and rubber tires. It differs from their previous release in the Load Handling System.

They have announced also a new set of light modern weapons.
The acronym HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) identifies a range eight-wheel drive off-road capable heavy truck, produced from the mid-80s for the United States Army. Thanks to its features, the HEMTT is able to guarantee a great off-road mobility and significant transportation performance.
It has become the real “workhorse” of the Army capable of carrying ammunition and equipment in a very effective way. In details the M1120 HEMTT LHS (Load Handling System) is equipped with a loading system, that can be used direct from the cabin, able to transport a lot of different types of cargo and containers.
The M1120 is capable of carrying a payload of 11 tons. That’s make it ideal to perform military logistic duties.
It has been recently used in operative area as Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to Italeri, the moulds are new, so as the rubber tires. Comes with decals for two versions.

The other new item is a Modern Light Weapons set. You can find inside a variety of weapons including the M16A1, FN-FAL and AK-47 rifles, heavy machine guns like the M60 or the Browning M2, Milan and TOW anti tank missiles and more.

As for the pistols, there are some known names among others, like Walther P1, Luger P08, Tokarev TT33 or M1911A1.

Each box includes three pieces of each rifle and machine gun (two for the Browning), four of each pistol and one antitank system of each one.

So many possibilites for the aftermarket industry. The real one carries three different flatracks. Or the M7 Forward Repair System-Heavy FRS-H. http://www.armyproperty.com/Equipment-Info/Pictures/FRS3.jpg Fuel and water tank flatracks. Sigh.

Accurate Armour already does two different flatracks, a 20' Container, and various flatrack loads for its Foden DROPS kits that would fit this (or a PLS) just fine as well. General Loads Flatrack ISO Flatrack 20' Container Bulk Liquids Container British 155mm Ammo and Powder Loaded Flatrack British Army UBRE (Unit Bulk Refueling Equipment)on Flatrack You could of courser use Italeri's 20' Container on it as well.

For what its worth, the factory that made the flat racks was located done the road from me. I would drive by there and see 100's of them ready to be shipped out and I saw a lot of trucks with trailers full of them. The factory shut down a couple of years ago, I guess they lots the contract to build them.

@766sgtacc : it is a very old kit, I bought it first some 15-20 years ago. Although Walther, Luger and TT saw some service after ww2, I find the weapon choice a little bit lazy, a Makarov, a Stechkin or a Glock would be better for a modern pistol (guess they had the bits from the ww2 range).

I've been doing a conversion of the new italeri kit recently as well.

Very cool, Paul. What's your plans for adding the crane? You should do a build thread here for that.

I agree with Dustin, a build thread will be nice to see on Paul's conversion.

I wish the hobby industry would move faster on making more of the container options available. Quadcons, Tricons, the Hippo drinking water system, military fuel transport containers AND the never released Trumpeter Container Handling Unit (CHU).
