Paints and pigments designed for fantasy products are often overlooked by the plastic modeller as we rarely hear of them. The Airbrush Company has informed Armorama about two new lines of products coming from Dark Star in the form of Pigments and Molten Metals.
The Airbrush Company is pleased to announce Darkstar Pigments and Darkstar Molten Metals. Developed originally for the war-gaming and fantasy modelling market, we believe that these pigments and paints are a great addition to your armoury of paints for any genre of modelling.

Darkstar Molten Metals are a new range of water based acrylic metallic paints that are new to the modelling community. These paints are manufactured to the highest quality to produce the feel of a liquid metal. Darkstar Molten Metals are permanent when dry and there is no need for gloss varnishing as our metals stay bright and glossy and will not tarnish over time. Once fully dry (approx. 24 hours) they can be carefully polished to further improve the shine.

We do recommend that a primer or acrylic base coat is used prior to our paints. You will find that they can also be used through an Airbrush with just a 10% water mix for a great airbrush finish and will still remain glossy. Our paint should only be mixed with water (tap water can be used); they are not to be mixed with any alcohol based products.

They are fully intermixable and can also be mixed with other acrylic paints to create your very own metallic colours. There are 21 colours currently in the range. There are 3 more colours to come to complete the range.
The colours currently in the range are:
Silver Old Silver Baroque
Pewter Graphite Steel
Classic Gold Royal Gold Regency Gold
Victorian Gold Pale Gold Renaissance Gold
