Tamiya has sent Armorama news of 3 new 1/35th scale kits coming out in the New Year. Also announced are a couple of punches that may prove useful.

37021 1/35 U.S. Self-Propelled Gun M107 (Vietnam War)

This model takes the 1988 Italeri classic model of the M107 and brings it into the modern era. The kit includes new and updated parts from the Italian maker, plus Tamiya figures, accessory parts, decals and instruction manual, all packaged in a new Tamiya box!
The M107 story starts with its development from 1956; this self-propelled gun had a compact vehicle base and elongated 175mm-caliber gun barrel that gave it an impressive maximum range of 32km. Some 524 were produced between 1965 and 1980, notably serving in the Vietnam War.

Specifications
• 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Model parts are a product of Italeri.
• The form of the M107 is accurately depicted by the model. Molding has been improved to reduce flash and sink marks, and provide more secure parts fit.
• Previously missing/simplified parts are recreated, including jerry can racks, main gun hydraulics pipes and connections, plus bolts and other details.

32587 1/48 British 7ton Armored Car Mk.IV

This is a model of the Britisht Mk.IV 7ton armored car in 1/48 scale. Across all of its marques, this vehicle was one of the most prolifically produced during WWII with 3,600 produced. With a 72km/h top speed and 400km range, its mobility and versatility were highly welcome to British and Commonwealth forces, who employed it for recon work and even as a command car. The Mk.IV was upgraded with a 37mm cannon, and had space for a crew of 3. It saw extensive service in both North Africa and the European theater.

• The model concisely recreates the form of the 7ton armored car with its distinctive sloped armor, plus a realistic depiction of the 4WD suspension and underside.

35348 1/35 Russian Self-Propelled Gun SU-76M

In many ways Soviet Russia was under-prepared for the Axis invasion of June 1941. One telling deficiency was in self-propelled guns that could take on German armor. This remained unaddressed right through the autumn of 1942, when the blueprints for the SU-76 self-propelled gun were finally laid down. The SU-76 eventually became the SU-76M, a vehicle that would become the second-most produced Russian armored vehicle in WWII after the T-34. The SU-76M used a ZiS-3 76.2mm gun variant, and could vanquish most types of German tank.
It featured a hair-raising open-topped fighting compartment that, while it allowed better communication and visibility on the battlefield, left its crew poorly protected from shrapnel and the harsh climate. Nonetheless, it proved excellent on poor surfaces, where - unlike tanks - it could keep up with infantry in a vital support role.
The Tamiya model faithfully captures all of the fine details of this WWII offensive weapon with ALL NEW tooling and research.
