Tamiya has always come in for stick regarding their 1/35th scale figures, but in recent times their figures have come on leaps and bounds in quality and detail. Tamiya has announced an all new figure set due for release in December titled U.S. Tank Crew Set (European Theater). This new figure set in the works certainly holds appeal for me.

This figure set depicts a typical crew which would have been attached to a tank in Europe after the Normandy landings.

Specifications
• 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit.
• Includes parts to create 6 figures, with seated commander and cupola gunner figure poring over map, driver and loader in conversation, radio operator performing maintenance, and crew member carrying ammo cases.
• Features parts to recreate accessories like M3A1 Sub-machinegun x1 and Ammo Cases (large x3, small x2).
• Clear parts depict 3 different types of goggles, from early- to late-war variants.
• Decals for insignia and ammo case markings are packaged in the kit.

Thousands of Shermans were used by the Societ during WW2, just not the E8 model.

Look at last photo with a red star on a turret. But a crew member is in US uniform.

That star is black in the last picture.

Yeah, the black star made less of a target for German gunners who had excellent optics on their weapons.
