Dan Taylor Modelworks has announced news of five conversion offerings for braille scale tanks. These new offerings offer conversion opportunities for Sherman and Cromwell tanks in 1/76th and 1/72nd scale.
Those of you familiar with the Modelworks range will be aware that the Cromwell tank has long been a favourite. Now that the Airfix and Revell kits are available at the same time, this seems a good moment to expand the range of conversion sets available for the type. Therefore, there will be 1/76 and 1/72 versions of each set.

A24 Cavalier
Retaining many features of the Crusader, the Cavalier was, in effect, the precursor of the Cromwell. Our kit will come with a revised top-deck, revised track-guards and many other details in resin and etched brass.

A27M Cromwell Mk I
This kit back-dates the model with features seen on the Type A hull plus details like angled track-
guards, pierced road wheels and revised stowage, also set in a mixed-media kit.

A27M Cromwell Mk VI & VII
Progressing to the final marks, this conversion features theType F hull plus all the features that epitomise the ultimate version of the Cromwell. This includes the revised stowage layout and engine deck.
C-76119 (Airfix)
C-72120 (Revell)
C-76123 (Airfix)
C-72124 (Revell)
This is just the start - also in planning are kits to make the Armoured Recovery vehicle, the Charioteer and the Cromwell Anti-aircraft tank. There’s a Dozer on the same chassis too.

Sherman Recap
Following on from the last Newsletter, these kits are now in stock and prices have been finalized. They are suitable for both the Dragon and new Heller M4A2 1/72 kits.

Sherman Mk III Deep Wading Conversion
This set provides resin and etched brass parts to adapt the Sherman II for deep wading and to anglicise the features. See also our 3-bar-cleat track used on these tanks.

Sherman Mk III ARV Mk I Conversion
A more thorough mixed media conversion set to help you build an Armoured Recovery Vehicle. The set includes all of the equipment and stowage associated with the vehicle.
