At this weekend's show in Tokyo, which although it ISN'T a trade show per se, the Japanese manufacturer, TASCA, announced two new releases in 1/35th scale, one of which is VERY interesting indeed...
A year or so ago, Tasca announced that they were going to do M4 Shermans in 1/35th scale. With the previous quality of their products, this caused some degree of interest. Now, they have unveiled their first M4 - a complete (plastic) kit for the Sherman Firefy:

Also announced was another of their highly sought after accesory sets, in this case, an injection moulded set ofor German headlights:

Hi Pat, I'd like to help out mate but I'm down to 6 grains of rice per day now and when I squeeze out the 8th cup of tea from this tea bag, I'm going to dry out the leaves and then I can roll then up and smoke them :-) :-) :-) :-) It's not the price of one that worries me, it's wanting 2 or 3 :-) :-) :-) It's been a great year so far. Cheers Al

Being very interested in the Firefly I will watch this release with interest. I do agree price is going to be the issue especially if Dragon do release a premier version of their kit. I wish I could locate even the released older 1C I want that kit for my collection since there are quite a few Canadian tanks I want to model of that beast.

I don't know about in the States, HOWEVER, when I was in the U.K. in August, the hobby stores were getting deliveries of the (re-issued) 1c. Srangely enough, I HAVEN'T seen it listed on my usual suppliers' websites in HK....Jim
