Wespe Models from Romania has contacted Armorama and passed on news of their latest releases in 1/35th scale and a short introduction on the company.

Less well known on Western European market, Wespe Models Romania was founded in 1998, in Ploiesti City. Historically, Ploiesti is the closest large urban center to the rich oilfields of Romania. The Blitzkrieg against Soviet Union was fuelled from there. After the failure of the Stalingrad offensive, the aerial space above Ploiesti was savagely disputed by Allies and Germans.

The strength of Wespe Models lays in the originality of its resin kits. They are not shy in tackling models neglected by the “greats.” You’ll find on the company’s website unique kits, impossible to find elsewhere.

Wespe Models started with 1/48th scale models, and kept diversifying until they now cover basically all significant scales:
For military models: 1/15, 1/24, 1/32, 1/35, 1/48, 1/72, 1/76, 1/87, 1/250, 1/500.
For civilian models: 1/16, 1/22.5, 1/32, 1/35, 1/43, 1/48, 1/50, 1/87, 1/160, 1/220.

They also produce special large scale models: 1/6, 1/8, 1/10.

Lately, Wespe Models released diorama accessories, besides AFVs and soft skins: sand bags, oil drums and jerry cans, anti-tank barrages etc.
