Not that long ago Armorama introduced you to Xact Scale Models, a new company, well it seems they are very close to their first release.
It looks like Xact Scale Models is readying their first release, the Russian T-80U in 1/35 scale. From the test build shot, it looks to be a well detailed kit. Unfortunately there is no list of distributors yet, but we will keep an eye on the availability.

820 mm length? What a big piece! This is something like 30 meters in 1/1 scale! There must be a mistake somewhere...

Corrected - 282mm. LINK Even if it doesn't come with photo etched parts it has a nice tanker figure included. I'm not exited about the one piece tracks tough.

Man, if Meng finally release their early turret T-90 I will literally have no more modern armor to whine about and beg for. I suppose a T-72 series? Wow, good times! Matt

Amazing news! I mean it has taken so long for the modelling companies to release some old school Soviet armor. There are like 20 or 30 variations for most tank models in market today and barely 3 or 4 for the T-80 tank series and most of them have barely some detail and accuracy. This specific model will definitelly fill my shelf!
