Several new products were unveiled at the recent Tokyo Hobby Show. Several more are now beginning to become available and in addition, there are a number of others which are going to 'slot-in' to Cyber Hobby's release schedule....
Beginning with an explanation of the (future) releases from Cyber Hobby. This company is effectively a 'sub-division' of DML and their policy is very simple - re-release existing kits with different packaging, produce a model of a 'rarer' variant (such as the D.A.K. Tiger I), keep it to limited (ONE production run) and sell the models directly from their on-line outlets. In other words: These will NOT be available from anyone apart from their 'in-house' retailers...

The four new Cyber Hobby releases will be:

6293 Sd.Kfz.251/23 w/2cm turret

6294 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.E, Eastern Front

6295 T-34/76 STZ

6296 Sd.Kfz.234 w/2cm turret.

Moving onto this week's BIG news, the second Generation II figure release is going to be available within a couple of weeks. Previously announced here, on Armorama I have just had an e-mail from Dragon announcing its imminent arrival...

DRA6281 - Germania Regiment France 1940 "Gen2",was previously reported in a news story, which can be seen:

HERE!!

I have added the image of the 'poster' at the side...

Moving onto armor/artillery releases, the other release which is going to be available in the next couple of weeks is:

DRA6287 - 88mm Flak 37 This is a completely new kit of the 'last' variant' of the 88mm AA/AT gun. The gun was a 'lower-profile' version of the 88 with a different profile to the Flak 18/36...

The next 'incoming' (no release date as yet) will be:

6221 - Sd.Kfz.234/4 This new kit, is the results of cooperation between DML and Gunze Sangyo (who will be marketing the kit in Japan). Very exciting news as it promises a range of vehicles based on the '234' chassis and a long-needed replacement for the elderly Italeri kit...

Finally (and these are scheduled for release very soon), two releases which were only available at the Dragon Expo '05:

DRA6283 - 1/35 Sherman M4A3E8 w/HVSS - Albin F. Irzyk - DX05 version

DRA9061 - 1/35 L/70 Jagdpanzer IV - Johann Huber - DX05 version

N.B these are both re-releases with some added details and new decal sheets...
