Two previously announced items by Trumpeter have now found their way onto the company's website, which indicates that their release may not be too far away...
The two new kits in 1/35th and 1/72nd scale are both well out of 'mainstream' territory. The first:

00361- Russian SAM-6 antiaircraft missile ('Gainful' according to its Nato desigation), is the first plastic kit in this scale covering a very interesting subject. This new, 292 piece kit comes on 9 light-grey sprues with a couple of very notable features for a Trumpeter kit... The first is their continuation with the link n' length track, (which from this company at least) works well, and as a first from Trumpeter - a photo-etch sheet covering (amongst other items) the engine grille. The decals are for four nationalities, Russia, Czechoslovakia, Poland and the DDR.

The second release from Trumpeter is:

British AS-90 'Braveheart' SPG This new,1/72nd scale kit is yet another welcome edition to the modern releases. Somewhat surprisingly, Trumpeter bill this kit as having 388 pieces, which does seem rather a lot...
