If you have been in a hobby shop and seen boxes with World of Tanks bonus codes on them, here is a bit of info you should keep in mind before you decide (as a player) you are going to 'invest' in more kits and get free stuff.
There is always a catch right? In this case there is. The game developers (or likely the accountants) at World of Tanks have built in a limit to the number of bonus codes that can be used per account. As reported to us this number is 5 codes. This may be in total or per bonus code amount (level). Either way don't start hording kits in the expectation that this codes will work for you in the future. That and they appear to expire in 2014 anyways.

And just as a 'Bonus' for reading this story... yes the codes in the image above should work if no one has used them yet.

I have only played the game a little, I am in a PzIII and it's getting frustating getting my butt handed to me by some punk in a fully upgraded BT-7. All they do is drive in a circle around you faster than your turret traverses

Panzer III? Youre a med and he's a light, ram 'em. I've found my Panzer III to be quite fast and nimble. With the 75mm gun, you can put 'em down with a single hit.

The Pz III Ausf A is classified as a light tank in the game... and its got really *thin* armour... only way to play it effectively is to play as a scout, i.e. run around spot enemies for your team-mates to kill, or sit in a bush and observe your opponents...u get a share of the credits & exp points if your team kill those tanks u spotted. I have a non-premium a/c, and enjoyed this game almost daily! Nw using an up-gunned Pz IV with L/70 gun

Sadly the game is getting harder and harder to play the further you go up the tier tree. I have a quite a few tier 8 tanks now but trying to get up to tier 9/10 is going to take Herculean amounts of time/silver credits. The irony of this game though is you keep thinking that having a higher tier tank is better (last longer, etc.) but the reality is that you just get killed quickly by other top tier tanks anyways. The trick to this game is either to stay hidden or to work in packs. Cheers, Jim

Yea, those Platoon type tactics really work. Especially need to use them on the new 'assault' type scenarios for a chance to win.

Hi guys, I have a bunch of tanks in the Tier 10 range. You are spot on about the Tr10 tanks not lasting long... Total arty magnet. If you dont have a premium account dont bother playing above Tr8. You will have a very large hole in your wallet every round. Dont forget everytime you start in a higher tier tank, you will be fighting against higher tier opponents. The higher you go the more serious the players get. The best thing you can do is find a tank you really like and stick with it. You will find the game is way more enjoyable. The Tr5 tanks are the best point of return, most credits for expendature. After that you will start seeing the $$ dissappear. Stick in packs, if one of you gets circle jerked by a light, the other can pound them in 2 shots The AMX's were a pain at the start... now they are easy kills. PS. the Pz3a is a bucket of... well you get me. That is what is known as a grind tank. You have to grind through the pain to get to something better.

Thanks to you all os the commenters for the incisive and frankly critical feedback. I've been mulling taking part in WoT for months, and you've helped me make up my mind ... not to! Seriously, thanks!
