UM Models is a new name to me when it comes to model manufacturers even though UM Models judging by their catalogue they have been going for some time. UM Models would appear to be a Russian company that has never been covered on Armorama or it would seem the KitMaker Network as a whole, but that is something Armorama will correct now as we share with you a selection of their products in all three of the main scales 1/72nd, 1/48th, and 1/35th scale. Take a look inside to see some of what this company has to offer.
Here are a selection of UM Models products starting with some of the 1/72nd scale offerings and ending with the 1/35th scale. It should be mentioned that this company concentrates on 1/72nd scale, but all of the scales have some interesting products.

1/72nd scale
UM 320 - Armoured Vehicle BA-3
UM 357 – BergPanzer 38
UM 365 - Armoured Vehicle BA–9
UM 377 M4A2(76)HVSS Sherman
UM 394 Anti Aircraft Tank T90 Based on T70M and fitted with an anti-aircraft turret in 1942

1/48th scale
UM 503 - Soviet truck GAZ-AAA
UM 506 - Airfield starter AS-2 on GAZ-AAA chassis
UM 511 – Truck mounted Maxim Quad machine gun

1/35th scale

The 1/35 kits are re-pops of SKIF kits with minor additions. The original SKIF kits were not very good.

Yeah, UM is Ukranian. I have their BMP-3. I bought it before Trumpeter announced their version. Its okay, not great compared to the Trumpy offerings, worst part is the tracks but apart from that its not bad looking.

They produce a lot of unique vehicles in 1/48 and especially 1/72 scale, mostly Soviet WWII. There is a healthy aftermarket for these kits, and the AM conversions and detail up sets for the 1/48 kits are really nice.

I think they're 1/72nd stuff is excellent. Plenty of tiny detail parts, good tracks and clear instructions. They're Sherman series is outstanding. The only source for a complete line of 1/72nd WWII artillery. The best part for me is their selection of WW
